My friend and I got the Flower Child with gluten free pasta and tofu added and a House Salad. Everything on the menu sounded delicious. Bottom Line: Go for the classic mac-n-cheese. Prices are too high for the product received and for a place that serves food on disposable dishes.
HOW DOES CHICK FIL A MAKE MAC N CHEESE FULL
I will return IF the kids want grab mac-n-cheese to-go as it is good, but will NOT go for a full family meal here again as I was NOT happy with my meal and neither was our extended family. In the end, they brought us a small mac-n-cheese to compensate for the 1st dish being only about 2/3 full. Staff were friendly and handled the skimpy mac-n-cheese situation to our satisfaction. Everything is served on paper or in aluminum pans with plastic cups/utensils. However, the rest of the items we tried were not so great. Overall: Their mac-n-cheese is really good. They do NOT like the crumb topping, but they like the cheesiness of it once past the topping. Kids on the other hand LOVED the mac-n-cheese. I tried the spaghetti pasta and was unimpressed with the spices in their spaghetti sauce. So, how about offering a dipping cup of marinara sauce? Our family member that got the spaghetti said she didn't like it, but she did like the meatballs. Staff explained that they could not put too much in OR it would fall apart. However, neither of us were really impressed with our meals. Staff apologized and said she would talk to the chefs as she agreed it looked skimpy. So, I questioned it when it was delivered to the table. That is not what we have come to expect when visiting the downtown location. At first glance I was SHOCKED that our mac-n-cheese tray was NOT FULL. It took a good 20 minutes to get our food. I asked for my panini to be lite on pesto, but to have extra sauce. We placed our order for a medium mac-n-cheese, a small spaghetti with meatballs and a meatball panini.
HOW DOES CHICK FIL A MAKE MAC N CHEESE PLUS
Plus this location has more spacious indoor seating that is climate controlled.
I figured we would try this highway location as it offers an expanded menu that includes sandwich options such as panini. We have been to the downtown location many times and the kids LOVE their homemade mac-n-cheese. Stopped in here for a quick lunch while we were out shopping.
